AND THE WINNER IS . . .
VCP drew the winning ticket of its fundraising raffle, an Ultra Large Format 7 by 17 inch camera designed and built by Richard T. Ritter during the opening celebration of Ten Years Later: New Works from Past Exhibitors on April 4th during the Brattleboro Gallery walk. The winner of the raffle was Brattleboro resident and member of VCP, Roger Katz. Congratulations Roger!
The event was such an exciting and successful evening for The Vermont Center for Photography, despite the rainy weather the BAND PLAYED ON! And what a band they were! Thanks to Jay Cook and Jazzberry Jam for such an excellent complimentary performance to our anniversary celebration!
VCP also published its first exhibit catalog to commemorate this special occasion. Entitled “Ten Years Later” the catalog features works by 25 artists from past exhibits at VCP. The photographs in the book as well as the exhibit represent new work by these artists. The exhibit and book show how the artists’ works have changed since their exhibits at VCP.
The book includes remembrances and statements about the gallery and the work. The catalog is for sale for $16.00 through the gallery on Flat Street.
The Vermont Center for Photography, a non-profit gallery featuring fine art photography, was founded in 1997. The gallery represents photographers from Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and New York, promoting a regional community of photographers.
Gallery hours are Thursday, Friday, 2 to 7 p.m.; Saturday, and Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.; or by appointment. For directions or information, please call 802-251-6051 or visit the website at http://www.vcphoto.org.
