CELEBRATE WITH US!
The Vermont Center for Photography presents “Ten Years Later” an exhibit of new work by past exhibitors.
After ten years of presenting fine art photography to the region, VCP is celebrating with a Party of the Decade during Gallery Walk on Friday April 4. This public celebration will have live music, refreshments and hors d’oeuvres.
VCP will pick the winner of its fundraising raffle, an Ultra Large Format 7 by 17 inch camera designed and built by Richard T. Ritter. Tickets for the raffle will be available until 8:00 p.m.
VCP is also publishing its first exhibit catalog to commemorate this special occasion. Entitled “Ten Years Later” this exhibit features works by 25 artists from past exhibits at VCP. The photographs in the book as well as the exhibit represent new work by these artists. The exhibit and book show how the artists’ works have changed since their exhibits at VCP.
The book includes remembrances and statements about the gallery and the work. The catalog is for sale for the first time on opening night. An opening reception and party will be held at the gallery, 49 Flat Street (next to the parking garage) during Brattleboro’s Gallery Walk on Friday, April 4 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Everyone is invited to celebrate this milestone in regional photographic history.
The Vermont Center for Photography, a non-profit gallery featuring fine art photography, was founded in 1997. The gallery represents photographers from Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and New York, promoting a regional community of photographers.
Gallery hours are Friday, 2 to 7 p.m.; Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.; or by appointment. For directions or information, please call 802-251-6051 or visit the website at http://www.vcphoto.org.
